Washington Post story on A.Q. Khan baseless: FO

Islamabad: Pakistan rejected a report related to Abdul Qadeer Khan published in the US Newspaper The Washington Post. Foreign Office spokesman said in a statement that the Washington Post story is baseless and there were no transfers of nuclear technology to North Korea.

Foreign Office spokesman Abdul Basit Khan further said that the chapter of Dr. A.Q. Khan is closed now. He stated that the so called A.Q. Khan proliferation network was effectively dismantled and all relevant information was shared with IAEA and concerned states.

He termed the stories related to Dr. A.Q. Khan network fiction and said that there are no facts in such stories.
