PORT-AU-PRINCE: Haitian police were holding 10 US citizens late Saturday on suspicion they tried to slip out of the country with 31 Haitian children in a trafficking scheme, a government minister said.
Haitian Social Affairs Minister Yves Christallin said the police arrested five men and five women with US passports, and two Haitians, as they tried to cross into the Dominican Republic with the children Friday night.
He said two pastors were also involved, one in Haiti and one in Atlanta, Georgia.

Faislabad: Lahore High Court Chief Justice has taken a suo moto notice of the riots erupted in Faisalabad Jail the other day.
Chief Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif while taking suo moto notice, ordered the Sessions Judge Faisalabad to immediately initiate probe into the matter. He also directed the Superintendent Jail to appear before the court along with all the record on February 2 in this connection.

KARACHI: Fresh violence has claimed at least 15 lives in last 24 hours in separate incidents of target-killings in Karachi.
The deadly incidents of target-killings continued from Friday night in which two people were killed while some 13 more lost their lives on Saturday.
