Kh Sharif deplores delay in judges’ appointment

Lahore: Lahore High Court Chief Justice said that the government is not implementing the summary regarding the appointment of new LHC judges.

CJ Khawaja Muhammad Sharif struck down the sentence of one prisoner namely Rana Zafar who was on death row on health grounds and released him on bail. During the hearing, Khawaja Sharif said that there is shortage of judges in Lahore High Court against huge workload, adding that the judges have to deal with many urgent cases till evening. He deplored that the government was not enforcing the summary sent to it by the judiciary regarding judges’ appointment.
