Parliament will not go against constitution: PM

Islamabad: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said that opposition is playing its role very well. Parliament would not do anything against democracy and constitution. He assured the government would continue coordination with all the institutions.

Addressing the National Assembly (NA), the Prime Minister said, “Both the Parliament and Judiciary are playing their roles within their domains.”

“We respect judiciary and want better relations with the judiciary. We will not take any action that would cause damage to democracy.” The PM emphasized that as long as issues including Kashmir, Siachin, Sir Creek, and water would not be resolved with India, sustainable peace in the region cannot be established.
