Amazing! These anchors talk about the misdeeds of others people. And look here what they are doing? Is this the way to behave? or are Mehar and Saima just enjoying their honey moons? This is an insult for Pakistan.

  • Shahid Nagri said:

Shame on these anchors! These anchors speak against America in front of the camera, and behind the camera they are doing romance with Americans.

I am really surprised. I partially agree with Shahid Nagri. They have multiple roles like they are TV anchors, Pakistanis as well as Muslims.
What are they presenting to public? What are their personal characters? What did they do in camera sessions? There is big question mark when these people attend drinks and dance parties. There should be a check and balance for media persons as well. I request all Pakistanis to think on this issue seriously and I salute the people of Peshawar who have raised their voice against this issue. Shame on all of this “independent media,” who are still employing these types of people.

  • I. Shah said:

Wow! This is modernization of Islam and Pakistan

  • Waeem Shah said:

Why are they dancing there? Is there any famine of Pakistani boys throughout the country that they are going to US Embassy? And Asma Shirazi … Offo!

  • Sharjeel said:

All these are agents and planted for a particular agenda.

  • Manndost Bizenjo said:

Shame! This is our media, what else we could expect from them. They should feel ashamed of themselves. Media sucks! Lets bycott it for the sake of this act.

  • Feroza said:

Shame on these anchor persons, to say the least. I am surprised at Mehar. She is among the descendants of the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H.), if she really is a Bukhari. How intimately she has glued to a Niger. Fact is that its just a tip of the iceberg. Many Pakistani journalists take pride in boasting their friendship with the Westerners. They do pilgrimage of their missions for a liquor. They seldom practice what they preach. Hyprocrites!

  • Arif Shah said:

These pictures are an attempt to tarnish the image of our journalists. We should stand strong at a time like this people. Trust your own people and not others. Why are we sneaking in to the lives of these anchors?

  • Sara said:

What are you guys talking about? Who cares what they are doing and where. Just because they are attending a party where alcohol is served does not mean they are drinking it. And anyways, these are private party pictures. What does it matter what these people are doing in their personal lives? They are TV anchors, and as long as they are fulfilling their job responsibly it does not matter what they do.

Why can’t we just mind our own business? It is not our place to judge people, it is only Allah’s. But this country would go a long way if we just respected peoples privacy, and held them accountable on behalf of their profession, and not their personal lives.

  • Khan Naeem said:

We should be ashamed about these activities as a Pakistani. We are a Muslim society. From such events what message do we deliver to other Muslim nations. At least think about Pakistan before engaging into such activities.

  • Maddy said:

This is so sad. I respected all of them, but now i hate them! They have got illusionary and hypocritical faces. Shame on them, these pictures show what loss they have done to our nation’s respect.

  • Mariah said:

I’,m totally speechless! Not only are they shameless, pathetic and very much westernized …. they have a pathetic choice of men as well. I mean the crap in Pakistan is better than these two weird bulldogs. Duh!!!

  • Ovais Tauheed said:

I was really shocked to see these women with Niger westerners doing party dance and drinking. It is a campaign to distract Muslim girls from Islam on the name of modernization. How could their families allow these immoral girls to wear those half bare dresses and part with non Muslims. Leave these pictures aside, they are not even dressed modestly during news and other programs. Do they look anyway different from Indian model girls.

  • John Adams said:

Well, I have served in the Embassy there and I can understand the desperation of many journalists. It is difficult for them to get visas so there is no harm in socializing. In fact there are all kinds of people who talk against the west but still beg for visas. The ladies are just having a bit of fun while securing their jobs.

  • Dawoodi Morkas said:

USA has an agenda to protect itself from people they have assumed to be terrorists. The fine ladies from our media are just making the men of the USA Embassy at home. They are not indulging in any unwanted scene. They are just being friendly. Though in this maner they may be endangering their own lives.

Last word is that such hype by media persons could have been avoided, specially the female anchors.

  • Alamzeb Khan, Khyber News said:

Shame on these bloody people who are even maligning our community of journalists. Being a journalist and TV anchor, I condemn this shameful act.

  • Rose said:

John Adams is right. The fact might be just that. But surely the anchors are so careless and foolish on their part not realising their personal doings arent personal when they’re representing a nation/religion. Duh.

  • Aftab Khan said:

Being a Pakistani we should be ashamed on such activities, specially with the people who are not sincere with us. Just look at these shameless girls enjoying with Americans and dancing with them. I request all of you that don’t listen to their opinions on TV channel becasue these are all character less women. They don’t act and behave like Pakistani women.

  • MUNIR NIAZI said:

It is a shame for all of us.

  • Mubeen said:

Shame on all of them. They are people of an Islamic state as well as media representatives. Look at what they are doing? We should stop watching their shows on TV.

  • Asif said:

They can do even more for name, fame and money. They don’t believe in doomsday.

  • Meher Bokhari, SAMAA TV said:

Hey all! I think you all people should mind your business! Who the hell are you guys to talk about me. Its my life, I can get nailed by a gorilla or a nigger no one should have a problem with that… no one can judge me only Allah SWT can judge me.

  • Usman said:

    Enlightened moderation.

  • Mughal said:

I know Meher how you feel! Keep dragging your feet but it won’t help this time.

  • Anonymous said:

Where is the dancing and drinking? Are you guys some kind of super beings that can interpret pictures and make up the whole story. While in reality you don’t have any idea.

  • Shoaib said:

I just want to seek Tauba from Allah that what is happening in Pakistan.

  • Salman Farooqi said:

All the anchors needs to be given training how to conduct themselves. They are bunch of immatures who cannot handle their fame. See the way they talk on their programmes, they don’t have courtesy or even care for our traditions. All the key anchors to be put under scrutiny.

  • Ovais Tauheed said:

Hey you manner less girls, what are your trying to show to those dirty Americans? Why don’t you go to America?

  • Atif said:

As a nation all what we know is how to criticize others all the time.

What is important is how professional and hardworking journalists are, what they do in their personal life is their own personal matter.

Please people, learn to be tolerant and stop making a fuss about the personal lives of others.

  • Mehmood said:

As we are living in Islamic state so we have right to defend our system for sake of our soul and Islamic values, we should oppose such acts.

  • Ash said:

We know them as TV anchors. We should judge them by their professional abilities, not by their personal lives. They are not preachers, and honestly speaking I could not see any thing objectionable beyond being friendly and open a bit more then the norms established in our society. Please leave them alone as far as their personal lives are concerned.

  • Iram Mohsin said:

This is shameful. These girls should not be allowed as T.V. anchors. They should show more self respect and respect for Pakistan.

  • Usman said:

Meher, go and work for America, we don’t need people like you in Pakistan.

  • Imran said:

Well it is very clear that everybody has double face and not even a single person is patriotic here. Whether they are in media, politics, law, social services or in general public. Everybody is running behind fame and money, we almost lost our identity!

  • Faisal Haider said:

Mehr Bokhari is the most talented news anchor of SAMAA TV, infact she is very honest, bold and straight forward person who believes in truth. Viewers are aware that she never compromise when it comes to patriotic themes.

Its a shame on public who degrade our own media by posting such profane remarks. Every person has a right to privacy and by making such allegations would only promote a false propaganda.

  • Hashim said:

This is what we know but who knows whats else might have happened there.

  • Ahsan Ali said:

Mehar should go and work for America. We don’t need people like her in Pakistan. It is shame for all of us and her program should not be aired any more.

  • Asif said:

These anchors should be banned on TV and it is our responsibility to show the real faces to public.

  • Imran said:

Sham on all of these anchors. They don’t seem to behave like Muslims. They are not required here.

  • Mansoor Khan, AJK said:

The activities of these anchors is shameful for our country and Islam. They should not have indulged in such acts.

  • Imran said:

When Meher Bokhari, Saima Mohsin and Asma Sherazi are on TV they seem to be portraying themselves as very professional, but this is what their real life reflects.

  • Anonymous said:

People, first look at yourselves then talk crap about Meher.

  • Farhad said:

Thank you for disclosing the real character of these Pakistani anchors, may be still they will deny, can these anchor clarify about their role models?

  • UJ said:

This isn’t about enjoying their private lives as some have mentioned here. Of course, they are rightful in doing whatever they want with their lives; but it doesn’t end there. It is about being journalists who keep running their mouths against the U.S. and its foreign policies day in, day out. Attending a private function at the U.S. embassy is perfectly alright, and even crossing the lines wouldn’t be a subject of much objection, had it been for ordinary ladies of our modern society.

What is objectionable is that being the U.S.-bad mouthing-journalists, it never crossed their mind that they bear the responsibility of representing the common sentiment of our society against the U.S. and while being the outspoken advocates of anti-U.S. sentiments, they were hypocrite enough to ignore not only their responsibility and advocacy but social norms and values!

    Despicable!

We don’t need to listen to you anymore!

  • Irfan said:

I thought the people in media were great and I used to like News Beat with Meher. I really respected Meher, but after seeing these pictures I think its a shame for all of us.

  • Syed Mukhtar said:

Meher Bokhari is syed and she knows what she has to do. It was a party and all media people were invited there.
Making pictures with people is not a shameful act. Think about it!

  • Mohsin said:

These anchors discussed the misdeeds of others people, who will discuss the misdeeds of media persons?

  • Talib Mirza said:

I think there are many ways to be photographed with delegations or embassy officials. But if ladies are to be photographed in such a chea way, as if they are enjoying their honey moons, this is shameful. These ladies should realize their dignity which is given them as being media persons and as being modest citizens of a Muslim nation.

  • Sajjad said:

I think the act of these anchors is a non issue. We are already in troubles of terrorism, anarchy, bad governance, foreign plans and insurgency. We should try to focus more on the issues than highlighting these things.

  • Nyla said:

Shame on these anchors, poor ladies, in fact desperate ladies!!! Shame on them!

  • Bilal said:

Was the video of this event recorded?

  • Gujjar said:

These people come over media and talk about improving the conditions in our country, but these people are not sincere.

  • Naveed said:

    What happened to Aasma Sheerazi?

  • Anar Gul Khan said:

I think this should be allowed in Pakistan. There is no harm in it.

  • Syed Faisal Haider said:

With due respect to my learned friends, there are several talented anchors on local channels, but when it comes to SAMAA TV, there is no one better than Mehar Bokhari. She has confidence of a skillful barrister, and vision that of an eagle and her knowledge of politics is simply awesome. It is Mehar’s confidence which makes her outshine from others having more experience in the field of journalism.

If I am given an authority to crown the best news anchor, then I would definitely go for Mehar Bokhari. Although i am linked with legal profession, but in past I have studied mass communication and journalism for my CSS examination.

It is not easy to have solid grip on intricate subjects like Constitution, Law, Substantive Law and Procedures and Mehar Bokhari has knowledge on these subjects far better then any other anchor person.

All of my friends agree that Mehar is an asset for the media. Mehar Bokhari has talents to represent our country to the world and we trust that Mehar has the potential to conquer most impossible odds with her ability and skills.

  • Amjad Shah said:

This is clear proof that our media especially electronic media is receiving funds from Jews and Americans to fulfill their agenda against Islam. Think for a minute how small is our advertising industry is. Can such a small industry sustain a huge media network. Surely this media is funded by Jews, therefore round the clock our media is propagating against Islam.

  • Khalid Baig said:

Who says that these issues are private matters and these anchors are not accountable to anyone. All these anchors are answerable for their every shameful act. I am really speechless!

  • Iftikhar Khan, Germany said:

Please save our childern from this ill mannered and Englo Paki journalist Maher Bukhari, who does not even know who she really is? or what she really wants to be? A real Pakistani women or someone with her own identity.
