Institutions to work in their constitutional domains, PM
Islamabad: The elected representatives need to show maturity when augmenting, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, said while addressing in National Assembly on Monday.
He said we want all the institutions to work in their constitutional domains.
Prime Minster (PM) said that the Parliament is the representative of 170 million people of Pakistan and thus the Parliament is the supreme authority.
PM said that the government respect masses. PM said that he would like to request leader of opposition not to draw comparisons between an elected president and a military dictator. The Parliament is answerable to the public. PM argued not to comparing us from Musharraf is an insult to us. The strength of the Parliament could be considered by the fact that all ministers have been appointed through majority instead of corruption.
He said that we have good relations with the judiciary. We don’t want to deteriorate relations with the judiciary. If there is difference on the explanation of the constitution then let the court decide the issue of the appointment of the judges.
PPP has appointed Khuwaja Sharif as Chief Justice Lahore High Court why will it go against him.
He said that PPP has no confrontation with the judiciary. If I say that there is no confrontation between the government and the judiciary then what is wrong in it and why don’t you believe in me.
He said that few peoples say that we forced by long march to restore the judiciary. I want to clarify them that the long marches cannot destabilize the government.
