Death toll from Lahore bombings rises to 31

Lahore: The death toll from three suicide bombings in Lahore rose to 31 on Thursday as six people succumbed to their injuries, a rescue official said.

Three suicide bombers targeted a Shia mourning procession near Karbala Gamay Shah, made up of thousands of people on Wednesday at the moment of the breaking of the fast in the holy month of Ramazan.

Pabbi blast death toll mounts to 9

Nowshera: The death toll from an attack in Noshehra by a suicide bomber on near the house of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain reached at least 9, with around 23 wounded, said sources Tuesday.

A suicide bomber blew up himself outside house of Khyber Pakhtunkhaw Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain in Pabbi on Monday. Nine people including four policemen were killed in the blast.
Police said the bomber was targeting Hussain and guests who had gone to his house to offer condolences over his son’s death.

7 killed, 20 injured in Khyber Agency blast

Khyber Agency: Atleast seven people killed and 15 others injured in a blast in Tirah valley in Khyber Agency on Friday.

According to initial reports, the explosion took place during the Friday bazaar in Meherban Kilay area. The nature of the blast is still unknown.
Initial reports stated that seven people have been killed and 20 others sustained injuries in the explosion. Locals started rescue activities and rushed injured to hospitals.

At least 22 killed in Iran suicide attacks

Tehran: An Iranian official says the toll for an explosion outside a mosque Thursday night has risen to 22 and may increase further.

Ali Mohammad Azad, governor general of Sistan-Baluchistan province has told state TV that “some 22 people were killed instantly” in the twin bombing in the southeastern city of Zahedan.
He estimates that the toll may increase further as many of the 160 injured are in serious condition.

Mingora: At least 5 people have been killed and several others injured in a suicide blast near General Bus Stand in Mingora on Thursday.

According to the initial report poured from the blast site, the blast occurred at the central bus stand of the city, which is usually a crowded place and was bustling with people at the time of blast.

Kabul: The death of another Australian soldier will not change the country’s commitment to the war in Afghanistan, the prime minister said Saturday.

Julia Gillard made the remarks after the announcement of the death of 23-year-old Pvt.
Nathan Bewes, the sixth Australian soldier to die in Afghanistan in just over a month.
